This was originally a reponse to a comment on another diary, and then it got long. Maybe some of you with older children will have advice.

I don't generally like posting diaries here. There's a certain comfort to the shadowy ephemerality of The Hole. I think this will have been my first diary entry in some time.

I walked up to a random house, emptied a 2.5 gallon gas can (9.464 litres) out on the porch, and set it on fire. I then threw several Molotov© cocktails through the first floor windows and watched as the house went up in flames. When a kitten escaped through the doggy door, I threw it into oncoming traffic.

"You want to tell me about God." The old man studied the lines in his hands.

"Is that a question?"

A nurse was going bed to bed, passing out books and magazines.

"No, I'll listen."

The sun shone through the dirty windows of the makeshift infirmary, serving only to highlight the dust covered sills and blinds.
